Growing up as an adoptee in a household where secrets were guarded and truths were seldom spoken, I faced the complexities of identity and belonging from a young age. Discovering my adoption at seven ignited a journey of self-exploration filled with confusion, pain, and, ultimately, empowerment. The loss of my adoptive father, George—whose quiet resilience and hidden truths mirrored my own—deepened my resolve to uncover my story and lineage and embrace the fragments of truth that shaped my life.
